Le studio La Maison a été fondé en novembre 2022 à Montréal. Son offre se décline en deux volets ; des lignes d’objets utilitaires en verre et des vitraux sur mesure. Alliant les techniques du verre à la maitrise de la lumière photographique, le studio La Maison est né de l’envie d’illuminer les espaces et de faire perdurer l’art du vitrail.

Léa Grantham (sa fondatrice) est une artiste visuelle qui vit et travaille à Montréal. Elle est titulaire d'un BFA en photographie de l'Université Concordia et d'un MVS en Studio Art de l'Université de Toronto. Afin de développer et perfectionner les techniques du verre, elle a également suivi des cours pratiques au Studio du verre. Issue du milieu des arts visuels, sa pratique traite de l’espace et des relations qui la contiennent et qui l’habitent. Donnant toujours une place centrale à la relation entre l’humain et l’objet, son travail s’intéresse à l’intimité et au commun, aux objets qui les façonnent, aux espaces qui les recréent, et à l’influence qu’ont les individus qui les habitent sur ceux-ci.

La Maison studio was founded in November 2022 in Montreal. Its offer is twofold: lines of utilitarian glass objects and made-to-measure stained glass. Combining the techniques of glass with the mastery of photographic light, studio La Maison was born of the desire to illuminate spaces and perpetuate the art of stained glass.

Léa Grantham is a visual artist living and working in Montreal. She graduated with a BFA in Photography from Concordia University and a MVS in Studio Art from the University of Toronto. In order to develop and perfect her glass techniques, she also took practical courses at the Studio du Verre. Coming from a visual arts background, her practice deals with space and the relationships that contain and inhabit it. Always giving a central place to the relationship between the human and the object, her work is interested in intimacy and the common, in the objects that shape them, in the spaces that recreate them, and in the influence that the individuals who inhabit them have on them.
